Interfaith Family Shelter

Native Plant Project

Plant Sales

Saturdays in April from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the North Everett Lion’s club at 2820 Oakes Ave.

The Interfaith Family Shelter is always trying to find ways to sustain their shelter in very creative ways!  Last fall they started a new initiative – the Native Plant Project.  They’re having their first series of native plant sales in North Everett.  All proceeds will support the shelter!  Forty varieties of easy-to-grow native perennials, trees and shrubs will be available.  Using these plants in your garden can protect our birds, wildlife and streams.

For more information, contact Mary Ellen Wood, Executive Director, Interfaith Assn. of Northwest Washington, at (425) 252-6672.

School Supplies
Thanks to all who donated school supplies for the children at the shelter. The kids, their parents and Desmond Pullen, the child services volunteer were all deeply appreciative and sent many thank you notes back to us. These are posted downstairs in Beaman Hall if you would like to see them. There is an on-going need for school supplies for these children throughout the school year and due to the life circumstances of these families, there is little money in their budgets for such items. If you would like to help with providing school supplies at any time during the current school year, please contact Jim Lehnus.
