Please contact the Religious Educator, Mari Budlong, at for more information on how to join our Zoom offerings. We offer a variety of ways for children and youth to connect with each other, with adult congregants, and with UU material.
Religious Exploration Gathering -- Children and Youth of all ages join together in exploring UU values and principled people, activism and empowerment with the Sing to the Power curriculum. We meet on Thursdays from 11 - 12, inviting background-checked adults into the "class" to facilitate lessons, connect the generations, and keep our spaces safe. Our classes follow this routine:
Chalice Lighting and Opening Words
"Now Let Us Sing" Hymn
Sharing Joys and Sorrows /Concerns
Story, reading, or poem
Activities and sharing
Youth Fellowship -- These Zoom gatherings are for youth in Middle School and High school; we spend a portion of the meeting talking about the upcoming RE Gathering (mentioned above) and invite youth to take roles in leadership. We check in with each other, play games, and brainstorm ways to do service projects. We meet Mondays from 11-12.
Evergreen Storytime -- Tuesdays from 11 - 11:30-ish we meet to share stories; we invite congregants to join in reading books, telling stories from their lives or share works they've written. We also invite congregants to share recorded content so we can play audio/video.
Family Fellowship -- This is a very informal, unstructured check-in on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:00pm.
