About the event
Discover the mystery and meaning of Celtic Runes, exploring how these ancient symbols were used in traditional Celtic culture. This presentation will also provide a glimpse into Celtic society within its historical context, helping participants understand the roots of this fascinating tradition.
Dean Smith, a long-time enthusiast of Celtic Runes, brings a unique perspective to the topic. During the session, Dean will demonstrate how he selects designs and carefully crafts 4-inch wooden runes from lightweight yet sturdy poplar wood using his scroll saw. Attendees will have the opportunity to view a sampling of his handcrafted work and receive two wooden runes to take home.
Light refreshments will be provided (gluten free upon request)
