Finding the Essential Current: a story told by salmon
Don Miller
As a salmon’s life cycle weaves through the ocean, rivers and streams it tells a story, an important story for these times. Come, join for a moment, and become current.
Don J. Miller is a retired RN and photographic artist. Prior to retirement, Don worked in oncology and diabetes education and participated in art fairs with his photography. As an RN, he also joined volunteer medical trips to Haiti, China, El Salvador, and Bangladesh. Those cultural experiences as well as his love of the planet have inspired his images.
Since retirement, Don volunteers in conservation work on behalf of Columbia Basin salmon with Save Our Wild Salmon, Yellowstone buffalo with Buffalo Field Campaign, and African elephants with Elephant Human Relations Aid, and provides presentations about those experiences. You can see more of Don’s work at delicatelightphotography.com

Worship Services
Services are held in the Cascade View Room at the Carl Gipson Center. Our Worship Services are led by either our minister, a visiting minister, or a member of the congregation.
All are invited to join in the experience either online or in-person. Some services might be a bit too experimental to get the full experience when attending online, but we'll still try and make sure our online attendees are included as best we can.
Stay up to date on all the changes and resources by subscribing to our weekly update (email list) using the form at the bottom of this page.
What about youth?
We have a rich and inclusive Religious Exploration program here at Evergreen! All families start together in the Sanctuary at 10:30am for the start of the service.
After the Story segment of the service, there will be an active transition where they move out to class. Once in class, we share in lighting the chalice and sharing Joys & Sorrows, and then begin our regular program. Children participating in RE classes need to be registered.
Children will be "released" at approximately 11:30 (usually the end of service). Children and Youth are always welcome to stay in the service with their family if they prefer! Learn more about RE here.

How to Get Here
The Carl Gipson Center is located at 3025 Lombard Ave., Everett, WA!
On Sundays, there is plenty of free street parking out front on Lombard St., a loading zone at the front doors, plus parking spaces #1-55 in the lower parking garage are available for those attending to use on Sundays.
There is an elevator and wheelchair accessible ramp that goes from the lower level parking garage up to the main floor. You can access the parking garage from Broadway. Just look for the Gipson Center Sign.
